Recognition Highlights Company’s Long-standing Commitment to Culture of Diversity

[CHICAGO, Ill. – Jan 25, 2024] Help at Home, the leading national provider of innovative, high-quality, relationship-based in-home personal care services, today announced the company has been named by Newsweek as one of the nation’s “Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024”.

“As a leading employer brand, we’re honored to have received this Newsweek recognition and are proud of our company’s diverse workforce of passionate caregivers and dedicated staff in the communities we serve,” said President of Home Care Tim O’Rourke. “We value the importance and impact of attracting and retaining talent from different backgrounds, cultural experiences and understandings. It also plays a significant role in building and maintaining long-standing relationships between our caregivers and clients resulting in better quality of care and higher client satisfaction.”

The recognition in the Newsweek rankings underscores Help at Home’s deep-rooted caring for the caregiver culture that for nearly 50 years has — and continues to — foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all. In 2023, Newsweek named Help at Home as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families. In addition, the company is proud to have been named four times by Forbes as a “Best Employer” in the past few years.

“At Help at Home, we celebrate the rich diversity of our people, recognizing that both their differences and similarities give us strength,” said Help at Home’s Director of Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Muziet Shata. “Unity in diversity isn’t just a concept, but a vital part of our inclusive culture for clients, employees and partners. We champion equity in all aspects of our operations, turning awareness into action. Receiving this recognition from Newsweek further solidifies the work we are doing and motivates us to continue on the path forward to make Help at Home a great place to work for all. We are deeply proud of our diverse workforce, specifically our 85% female representation amongst full time employees and 64% racial/ethnic minority representation amongst full time employees.”

“Diversity is a widely discussed topic – and it remains a crucial factor as people look for an employer or a business partner. Newsweek and market-data research firm Plant-A Insights are proud to introduce “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024,” highlighting companies that are committed to offering a diverse and inclusive work environment.” Nancy Cooper, Global Editor in Chief, Newsweek.
