Help at Home CIO Carole Hodsdon named “Top 10 Women of Influence” by Industry Era

Hodsdon’s savvy IT leadership drives Help at Home’s technology innovation

Carole Hodsdon, Chief Information Officer

(CHICAGO, Illinois, July 19, 2022) Help at Home, a leading national provider of in-home, person-centered care for seniors, announced today that Carole Hodsdon, chief information officer for Help at Home has been named as a Top 10 Woman of Influence of 2022 by Industry Era magazine.

Hodsdon came to Help at Home in 2021 with more than 20 years of health care IT expertise. Since her arrival, she’s led the company’s IT transformation. The pandemic challenged the entire home care industry, along with other industries and accelerated technology out of necessity. That push forward enabled Hodson and her team to expedite innovations that enabled caregiver efficiencies so that in-home care could continue as uninterrupted as possible throughout the pandemic.

“One example of a challenge met with opportunity during COVID was an urgency to identify, develop, and deploy a mobile-friendly scheduling tool for caregivers with the goal to manage shift opportunities and avoid client care disruptions,” Hodsdon said.

Out of those innovations, the company noted improved caregiver/client experiences and improved operational efficiencies that it continues to expand upon for the future. Most importantly, the technology has enabled and will enable more seniors and must-serve populations to receive care and age in place in their homes, the preferred setting of care.

“Carole’s expertise and leadership has helped us to build a better company infrastructure which has been critical to our value proposition as a leader in our industry,” said Help at Home’s CEO Chris Hocevar. “We’ve excelled in the deployment of innovative tech solutions that enable us to better support our caregivers, so they can focus on providing much needed in-home personal care to clients who want to age in place at home, the preferred care setting.”
